A year of Barraca: We celebrated our first anniversary in Barceloneta

There are anniversaries that are lived with emotion, with the taste of what has been achieved and an eye set on everything that is to come. This is how we experienced the first year of the life of Barraca, our restaurant with views of the Mediterranean Sea on Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta. A year full of flavor, unforgettable rice dishes, shared toasts and commitment to a cuisine that speaks of our land, our people and our way of understanding restaurants.

Twelve months, and a thousand unique moments

Since we opened the doors of Barraca, our intention was clear: to offer a quality Mediterranean gastronomic experience, in such a privileged location as the coast of Barcelona. The proposal was clear, not only to cook well, but to do it with meaning. We are committed to seasonal, local products, a menu that respects the times of the sea and the land, and to surround ourselves with a human team that shares our passion for well-done cuisine.

In these twelve months, many of you have accompanied us. We have served an endless number of dishes, we have filled our rooms with laughter, meetings, lunches in the sun and dinners by candlelight. Each visit has been a chapter in this story that we are writing together. And this anniversary couldn't be less.

A celebration with the flavor of the Mediterranean

Last April, we celebrated our first year as we know best: cooking. We organized a very special showcooking where rice was the absolute protagonist. Our kitchen was filled with intense aromas and refined textures. Recipes that are already part of our identity were served, such as octopus rice, sea and mountain rice or veal rice with marrow and candied piquillo peppers.

There was also no shortage of lobster croquettes, our knives with toasted lemon or the cocktails with which to toast what has been experienced and what is to come. It was a unique day, between friends and lovers of good food, in which we shared the essence of what we are.

A restaurant and a way of being

Barraca is much more than a place to eat well. It's a statement of intent. In every dish, in every decision, our philosophy as a group is present: honesty, sustainability and passion for the product.

Since its opening, we have worked with local suppliers, we are committed to environmentally responsible practices and we take care of each space so that those who visit us feel that they have reached a special corner. Our restaurant has two floors that overlook the sea: a ground floor designed for more relaxed meals, and an upper one that offers a more intimate and relaxed experience, ideal for those who come to enjoy with all their senses.

Barraca's design speaks the same language as our kitchen: wood, earthy colors, natural light, and decor that breathes Mediterranean. Every corner is designed so that the experience is not only on the plate, but in everything that surrounds it.

This anniversary is yours as much as it is ours. To whom you came as a couple, family, friends or to celebrate something special. To those who have recommended us, to those who follow us, to those who have trusted our project from the beginning. Thank you.
